7、toNewYorkCity.HegotworkplayingtheclarinetfortheColumbiaBroadcastSystemradionetwork.Innineteenthirty-six,hewasgivenachancetoformasmallgroupandplayatNewYorksfamousImperialTheateronBroadway.Hisgroupwasnotthetopbandintheshow.Butthecrowdlovedhismusic.Thisprovedtoamajorstepinhiscareer.ArtieShawwasalwaystr
