10、theirtendonsandrisers.Castingsintheseapplicationstendtobelimitedproductioncomponents,withrelativelyfewreplications,andreceivemoreintensescrutinythanroutinemassproductionruns.Whereappropriate,thisspecificationisbasedon,orreferenceismadeto,international,regional,nationalandindustrystandards.Thisisaman
11、ufacturingspecificationforthecastingitself.Itisanticipatedthatgeometricdesignforbothservicerequirementsandcastingfeasibilitywillhavebeenagreedcollectivelybetweenthecontractor,manufacturer,andpurchaserbeforethisspecificationisinvoked.Attendantissuesregardingsystemreliability,geometricdesign,incorpora
12、tionintotheoverallconstruction,operation,andmaintenancearenotaddressedhere.Thoseelectingtousethisspecificationasareferencefortheirneededlevelofperformancequalityshouldcarefullyconsideralltheseattendantissues.Whencontractorsormaufacturerssuppliersusethisspecificationtheyshouldbesolelyresponsibleforth
13、equalityofworkandtheattainmentoftherequireddesignandengineeringstandards.Inparticular,forthoserequirementsnotspecificallycovered,thepurchaserwillexpectthemtofollowthosedesignandengineeringpracticeswhichwillachievethesamelevelofintegrityasreflectedintheirbestproduction.Ifindoubt,thecontractorormanufa
