3、aur1sdietsupportsthemigrationhypothesis.Edmontosaursfedexclusivelyonplants.SincetherewouldhavebeennoplantsgrowingduringthecoldanddarkNorthslopewinter,itappearsthattheedmontosaurmusthaveleftforatleastpartoftheyearandmigratedtomoretemperatezonestofindfood.Secondzmanyedmontosaurskeletonshavebeenunearth

4、edfromthesamesite.Thissuggeststhatedmontosaurslivedinherd.Manymodern-daymigratoryanimals,suchascaribouandbuffalozliveandmigrateinherdsaswell.Movinginherdshelpsanimalscoordinatetheirmigration.Thefindingthatedmonotsaurslivedinherdsfurthersupportsthemigrationhypothesis.Finally,ednonosaurswerephysically

5、capableofmigratinglongdistances.Toreachmorehospitableregion,theedmontosaurhadtomigrateaboutlz600kilometerssouthward.Tomakesuchajourney,theedmontosaurneededtomoveataboutfivekilometersperhourforseveralweeks,whichiscertainlycoulddo.Theseanimalscouldrunveryfast,reachingspeedsupto45kilometersperhour.Itco
