2、heybehaveasthoughtheywerejustspontaneouslypraisingaproductduringnormalconversation.Buzzinghasgeneratedalotofcontroversy,andmanycriticswouldliketoseeitbanned.First,thecriticscomplainthatconsumersshouldknowwhetherapersonpraisingaproductisbeingpaidtopraisetheproduct.Knowingthismakesabigdifference:weexp

3、ectthetruthfrompeoplewhowebelievedonothaveanymotiveformisleadingus.Butwithbuzzingwhatyouhearisjustpaidadvertising,whichmaywellgiveapersonincorrectinformationaboutthebuzzedproduct.Secondzsincebuzzerspretendtheyarejustprivateindividuals,consumerslistentotheirendorsementslesscriticallythantheyshould.Wi

4、thadvertisementsinprintoronTV,theconsumerisonguardforquestionableclaimsoremptydescriptionssuchasnewandimproved.Butwhenconsumersdonotknowtheyarebeinglobbied,theymayacceptclaimstheywouldotherwisebesuspiciousof.Thismaysuitthemanufacturers,butitcouldreallyharmconsumers.Andworstofallistheharmfuleffecttha
